Activity Description

Travel through fynbos, forests and cross the Salt River to the beautiful Newstead Lund Family Vineyards. Enjoy a tapas lunch and wine tasting before venturing back to the stables along the foot of the Tsitsikamma mountain range.

WeatherTrips can go out in almost all weather conditions.
What to WearAll riders are advised to wear long trousers and closed shoes. Bring along something warm for the cooler days and wet weather gear if rainy as we go out in most weather conditions. Our horses don't mind a bit of rain:)
Things to BringBe sure to bring along your camera, sunglasses, a hat and any personal items you might need.
Guests or SpectatorsNo spectators allowed. Only paying guests will be allowed on the trip.

Guided horse trail
Lunch & wine tasting at Newstead Wine Estate
Riding hats are compulsory and are provided.

ExclusionsAll other refreshments (besides for wine tasting), at Newstead Wine Estate, will be for your own account.

Notes

Please be at the stables at least 15 minutes before your riding time as we leave promptly at the allocated time. If you are late the ride will still return at the scheduled time and will be cut short.
If you are more than 15 minutes late then your ride will be canceled and no refund given.
Our trail ride prices are the same for both adults and children.
We have handlers for the less experienced riders and children that do not wish to ride the horse on their own. Children may not share a ride with an adult on one horse.
Ages six and older can ride on their own, depending on their riding skills and comfort. If not, they will be on a lead rein behind one of our guides.
Children under the age of six will be offered lead-rein pony rides under supervision around the farm.
