With stops at the two border posts: the South African Border Control at the base and the Lesotho Border Control at the summit – valid passports are of course essential.
Venture deeper into Lesotho for a truly immersive cultural experience you will be welcomed into a local home, where you’ll uncover the rich history, traditions, and daily life of the Basotho people, while enjoying some freshly baked Basotho bread as you listen to captivating stories that bring Lesotho’s vibrant culture to life. Or if you prefer to enjoy an extended leisurely lunch at the Highest Pub in Africa or an authentic Basotho restaurant instead of visiting a local home – the choice is yours.
Throughout the tour, your guide will share fascinating insights about the region’s history, its resilient flora and fauna, and the extraordinary people who call Lesotho home, making the experience as enriching as it is thrilling. Enjoy a relaxed journey back down the Sani Pass, with the freedom to return to Underberg whenever you’re ready.
